Apolinus lividigaster is a small black ladybird found in Australia and New Zealand. It has a body length of 3-4mm. They all have a yellow patch on each side of their thorax; some individuals have a yellow patch between the eyes while others have a dark face. All of them have dark blue forewings covered with fine yellowish to white hairs.
