Tiarella, foamflower is a genus of wildflower and garden plants found in Asia and North America. They belong to the Saxifrage family (Saxifragaceae). Over the years many hybrid crosses have been made, Tiarella Oregon Trail is one of those cultivars. Its common name Tiarella 'Oregon Trail is because its leaf patterns mimic the rivers along the Oregon Trail.
The lights to medium green leaves are deeply lobed and are marked with maroon stripes.
Short spikes of white flowers develop in spring.
This trailing groundcover grows to a height of 10 cm and can spread up to 90 cm.
