Grevillea is a genus of plants native to Australia, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. Many species are now cultivated throughout Australia, New Zealand, and abroad.
Grevillea × gaudichaudii is an evergreen prostrate shrub which is endemic to New South Wales. It is a naturally occurring hybrid between Grevillea acanthifolia subsp. acanthifolia and Grevillea laurifolia two species from the Blue Mountains in Australia. It is a vigorous ground covering shrub which can spread up to 5m.
Its has dark green multi-lobed leaves that are up to 10cm long. The leaves can have a reddish tint in cold weather and on the new growth.
It produces scarlet, toothbrush-like flowers during Spring through to Autumn.
