Graphania plena is a green, native moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found throughout New Zealand. It is a common, endemic moth that inhabits native forests, gardens, farms and some coastal areas. The adults may be found throughout the year but they are mainly seen from spring to the end of the summer. They fly at night so they are attracted to light.
The larvae have been recorded during spring feeding on a wide range of plants including Fuchsia excorticata (Tree fuchsia) and Malus pumila (apples).
