Hoangus venustus is a 4 mm long species of ladybird beetle that is native to New Zealand. It has orange on each side of its head with a black strip down the middle, the black wing cases have an orange strip around their edge. Hoangus venustus is found in the North Island on New Zealand flax (Phormium) and Toetoe (cutty grass), reportedly eating the mealybugs that live there.
