Raoulia glabra is a native plant that forms 2.5cm high fairly loose, apple-green mats 20-30cm across. It found from lowland to low alpine elevations (1300 masl) on open, stony or rocky sites, including gravelly moraines. In the North Island, it is found on Mt Egmont/Taranaki and from the Ruahine Range southwards. It grows in most of the wetter areas of the South Island.
The tiny, green, glabrous leaves are 3-5mm by 1mm.
