Hebe 'Wiri Jewel' (a hybrid of H. speciosa) is one of one of a series of NZ native hebes which have been bred by Jack Hobbs at the Auckland Regional Botanic Gardens.
It is a compact hardy shrub that grows to 1.2 m in height. It has magenta/purple flowers over a lengthy period (late spring/summer).
