Scoparia diphtheralis is a moth of the Crambidae family. It is known only from New Zealand and is one of 40 forests Scopari. It is seen from December to March, usually near forests. It is found throughout New Zealand and is common where it occurs. Wingspan for males and females is 23–26 mm. The larvae (caterpillar) feed on mosses.
