The family of Polyporus have a complex macrostructure, Their flesh being composed of several kinds of hyphae. The strengthening and binding hyphae account for the tough texture and long life of these fruit bodies. The family is one of convenience, members resembling one another only in their general appearance and growing on wood. Polyporus arcularius are found in mixed forest substrate on wood. Spores are white. Height: 100 mm Width: 80 mm It is not edible.
