Graphania lignana is a common, nocturnal moth a member of the Cutworms and Dart Moths in the Graphania genus. It is endemic to New Zealand. They are found in native forests, shrubland pastures, gardens and in coastal areas. It is mainly seen from September to May.
The larvae feed on various pasture grasses including some tussocks.
