Glaucocharis lepidella is a small common native moth (7.5-9.5mm) found throughout New Zealand. Its habitat is native forests. They are attracted to light. They appear from November to February.
Little is known about this species but like other larvae in the genus Glaucocharis it probably feeds on moss.
