Choisya ternata is a rounded, medium-sized, bushy, evergreen shrub native to Mexico. It grows up to 3 m in height. It has dark, glossy, green leaves that are aromatic. They are divided into three leaflets. This shrub is a member of the Rutaceae family whose leaves frequently aromatic with glands on the leaves. Choisya ternata leaves are covered in these pellucid glands that are responsible for their aromatic smell.
