Colaranea verutum is a small (8-15mm), green native orbweb spider. It has a green/white patterns its abdomen, the colour and patterns can vary.  
It is found in native forests where it blends in well with its backdrop even at night. It hides during the day and feeds at night, mostly feeds on flying insects.
When disturbed it will drop to the ground and play dead with its legs pulled into its body.
